Su’aad Benjamin 08082018

Meet my baby Su’aad Benjamin, (meaning good fortune)

My rainbow baby after almost 9 years. I never thought I would ever have another baby after my son, I even gave EVERYTHING away.  Boy was I wrong.  I had to buy everything all over again from pram to car seat.  Luckily my inlaws have a Family Cot that everyone has used, even my husband.

I still can’t believe I have 3 children. So unreal.  I’m still trying to get used to it.

Photography Class

Oh My Word! It has been a while since I blogged. It has been hectic for a while, but I’m back. I have decided to give my baking and catering more of my attention, and have resigned my job and focussed more on my family and the things I love.

I have been doing a few short courses but the class that I loved the most was the Photography class at RLabs . It was so enjoyable to learn something new as I loved taking photos, but didnt realise everything that went into taking the perfect picture.

The class was presented by Ricky Judah Johson, a very inspiring man who loves to help people in his community. He gave me so much inspiration and made me want to purchase a camera of my own and just start taking photos to capture all my and maybe even someone elses memories.

He owns his own photography business called RJPhotography and I guarantee you wont be disappointed as he takes the most beautiful pics.

Kitkat cake – 20 September 2015

I love making cakes and seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they receive it.

Mugamad Saadiq Benjamin 09012010

When I found out I was pregnant with Mugamad Saadiq, it was very unexpected and unplanned. Sakeenah was still a baby and I wasn’t sure how I would cope. When I went for a scan at the Gynaecologist, they actually said that he was a twin, there were two separate sacs but the one was empty, meaning that I had lost that baby.  Saadiq has so much energy, sometimes I cant even keep up with him, but I would totally worry if he was too quiet.

I love my lil minions and wouldn’t trade them for anything, even though they drive me insane at times, but like a friend of mine always tells me, ITS THEIR JOB

Oh how quickly you’ve grown my prince

Sakeenah Benjamin 11092008

This is my little ray of sunshine. Always smiling and very enthusiastic. Behind this beautiful face lies the diagnosis of Lichen Sclerosis. She has been having problems with repeated bladder infection for years and has had E coli probably 5 times in her almost 7 years, and now we finally got the diagnosis that it all stems from the Lichen Sclerosis. She is doing much better due to the treatment that she has been on. May Allah grant her to grow up to be a good Muslim girls and always follow the straight path.

She will be having her 7th birthday on 11 September 2015 and she is very excited about having a party. She has been inviting everyone she sees. I better start budgeting for this grand affair lol. She wants to have a ballerina party as she has just signed up for dance class at school.

Baby Shower Décor for a friend

A very close friend of mine’s sister will be throwing her a baby shower very soon. I suggested to her that even though there are so many things that can be bought at the shops, it would be nice if she made a few very cost effective item for décor as well as some snacks that are so cute for the tables…..

So we have a decorating ‘workshop’ that we need to set up asap…

Here are a few of the ideas that I saw on 11169168_926066820785441_7045133472582338646_n (I love this site). I feel that gifts made with our own hands are always more special, what do you think?…

Ramadaan Kareem & Eid-ul-Fitr 2015

tmp_photo_1416328577532          IMG-20141231-WA0011

I haven’t really had the time to post anything because I was very busy with preparing things for Ramadaan and Eid -ul-Fitr. The month of Ramadaan passed us so quickly. I hope that it was a fruitful one for all and that Allah (s.w.a) accepts all our duahs and efforts to complete this month and continue on this path of sacrifice and worship.

We are really soooooooo lucky, we were able to break our fast every night, with either boebbe or soup or samosas, pies, pancakes, cake, etc. In this month we need to feel what the person on the street feels like being hungry, having no food, day or night. Algumdulillah, Allah is great.

I didn’t even have time to take many photos on Eid, but here are 2 cakes that I made that I am very proud of.

This is a vanilla cake with strawberry mousse filling and topping:

I made this for the family members with diabetes “dark chocolate kitkats” as well as for the people with a sweet tooth. I do love my chocolates.

I will definitely try and blog more often.
